A Slimline Graduation Card with Sparkle and Blooms

CRAFT & CHAT – EPISODE 26

Graduation season is here, and I love creating cards that are just as bold and exciting as the grads they’re celebrating! This slimline graduation card does exactly that — combining glittery impact with floral flair. Whether you’re celebrating high school, college, or any major milestone, this card adds a fun and personal handmade touch.

Handmade slimline graduation card with large green glitter die-cut letters spelling "GRAD," white and gold flowers, and a textured black background.

The star of the show is the giant “GRAD” across the card front — die cut using the Party Alphabet dies in that gorgeous Shy Shamrock glimmer paper. This sparkly green adds a vibrant, celebratory pop!

The background is a textured Basic Black layer, adding subtle depth while letting those glittery letters shine. For a bit of floral fun, I used the Impressions Abloom bundle to create white daisy-like blooms with gold foil centers and bright green die-cut leaves. The tiny “CONGRATS” sentiment is embossed on black for a chic, modern feel that ties the whole design together.

The letters in the Party Alphabet set are large, so instead of using a million Dimensionals, I used the Foam Adhesive Strips to adhere them to the card.
