Fun Fold Frenzy Craft Along Day 3: Shutter & Spanner Panel Cards

Welcome to Night 3 of the Fun Fold Frenzy Craft Along! We’re officially past the halfway mark, and tonight’s folds are all about wow-factor openings. These designs add so much fun to your cards while still being completely do-able for your everyday crafting.

Today we’re making the Shutter Card and the Spanner Panel Card. Both folds bring interactive surprises—one looks like a camera shutter opening, and the other gives you not one but two insides to decorate!

SHUTTER CARD

The Shutter Card uses the Charming Day bundle with both the Floral Charm and Cute As Can Bee Designer Series Papers. The card base is Blackberry Bliss with Petunia Pop accents. When you open the card, the shutter-style mechanism reveals the sentiment inside—such a fun effect for birthdays, thank-yous, or really any occasion!

SPANNER PANEL CARD

The Spanner Panel Card uses the Just a Note bundle and Cute As Can Bee DSP with a Crumb Cake card base. The best part? This one has two insides to decorate—and I even added a built-in gift card holder. Perfect for birthdays, teacher gifts, or back-to-school surprises.

For interactive folds like these, dry-fit your pieces first (no adhesive yet!) so you can see how the mechanism works. Once you’re confident about placement, go ahead and glue everything down. This extra step helps avoid sticky mishaps!
