Gathering Together: A Side Gatefold of Gratitude

Today’s card features a fun side gatefold design—perfect for showcasing the beautiful Gathering Together suite! I love how easy this fold is, and it’s such a great way to highlight both texture and designer series paper.

The card base is Cajun Craze, with the left panel embossed using the Gathering Leaves folder for a rich autumn feel. I added a strip of plaid paper from the Gathering Together DSP on the right panel for contrast. The focal leaf die cut is actually the piece leftover from the card I shared yesterday—it’s a wonderful way to stretch your supplies and get more from your die cutting!

On top, I layered the sentiment “Expressing heartfelt gratitude,” mounted on Early Espresso for definition. A simple twine bow and a couple of glittery embellishments finish off the card with just the right amount of detail.

Save your die cut pieces! What looks like “scraps” from one project can become the perfect focal point for another. You’ll get more mileage out of your DSP and dies this way, and your cards will have unique designs every time.
