Hello Spring Craft Along Day 2: Trellis Card and Magnetic Gift Box with Help Me Grow

We’re back for Day 2 of the Hello Spring Craft Along, and today’s projects are a really fun combo—a sweet spring card and a super clever little box! I love when we can mix cards with something a little different, and this box is one of those projects that feels extra special without being complicated once you see it in action.

The card for today has the cutest trellis design, and it’s actually created using simple 1/2″ strips layered right onto the Mixed Up Patterns DSP. I used a Thick Basic White card base to keep everything nice and sturdy, especially with those extra layers. The greenery from the Help Me Grow bundle adds that fresh spring feel, and I love the little trowel detail—it’s die cut from the Lunar Lustre paper with the handle in Wood Grain Wonders DSP, which gives it such a realistic touch. A Berry Burst Shiny Ribbon bow ties everything together, and the Garden Epoxy Dots add just the right amount of detail.

The second project is this really fun magnetic box using Secret Sea. This is one of those designs that looks simple on the outside, but has a really cool fold when you open it up. The Mixed Up Patterns DSP keeps everything coordinated, and the little cattails on the front are such a fun detail—they’re punched from Pecan Pie cardstock using the Hole Punch Assortment and then brushed with Wink of Stella for a bit of shimmer. There are hidden magnets under the DSP that keep the box closed, which makes it feel a little extra special when you open and close it.
