Peaceful Dock Bundle Simple Lake Scene Card with Lily Pads

This week is all about the Peaceful Dock bundle, and I couldn’t love the calm, relaxing feel of these cards more. There’s just something about a quiet lake scene that instantly slows things down a bit… and honestly, I think we could all use a little bit of that!

This first card is simple, clean, and lets the stamped details really shine.

This card starts with a Night of Navy card base, which gives it a rich, grounded feel right away. I layered on Balmy Blue to create that soft water background, and then stamped the ripple lines in Balmy Blue ink for a subtle tone-on-tone effect that keeps everything nice and peaceful.

The boat is stamped in Pecan Pie ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock, which gives it that warm, natural wood look without needing any extra coloring. I added a few lily pads die cut from Granny Apple Green and Lemon Lime Twist cardstocks for a fun pop of color, and finished them off with Garden Epoxy Dots to mimic little flowers. The sentiment is stamped in Night of Navy on a Basic White banner from the Stylish Shapes dies, which ties everything together beautifully.

If you want to keep a card simple but still interesting, try combining tone-on-tone stamping (like the water ripples) with one or two brighter accent colors. It keeps the design calm but adds interest!
