Peaceful Pier Just Because Card

Sometimes you see a card design that’s just too good not to recreate — and that’s exactly how this one came to be! I CASEd (Copy and Selectively Edited) this sweet card from Rochelle Laird, using the Peaceful Pier stamp set for a serene fishing scene. The soft colors and gingham background make this an easy, cheerful card to send “just because.”

The card base is Basic White, layered with a pale blue gingham pattern for a cozy, country feel. Strips of coordinating cardstock in Pool Party, Lost Lagoon, and Mossy Meadow add subtle layers beneath the focal image.

The fishing scene, stamped from the Peaceful Pier set, is colored with Stampin’ Blends in earthy and aquatic tones, then punched out with a circle. I framed it with a Mossy Meadow stitched circle and tied on a bit of Lost Lagoon cording for an extra pop. The sentiment “Just Because” is stamped in Mossy Meadow on a narrow white strip and tucked neatly across the lower right.

When CASEing, make the design your own by switching out colors or embellishments to fit your supplies and style — it’s a fun way to spark creativity without starting from scratch.
