Popcorn and Cheer: A Bright and Happy Card with the Poppin’ By Bundle

Hey there, crafty friends! I’m so excited to share today’s card – it’s a cheerful, buttery-bright creation featuring the Poppin’ By bundle from Stampin’ Up! If you’re into fun backgrounds, hand-colored images, and a little red twine magic, this one’s for you.

This card starts with a sunny Darling Duckling card base, layered with another panel of the same color for some tone-on-tone stamping magic. I used images from the Poppin’ By bundle and the Darling Duckling ink pad to stamp popcorn kernels and the word “POP” all over the background. That little torn edge on the right side adds just a hint of texture and fun!

For the focal image, I stamped the adorable popcorn bucket and colored it in with Stampin’ Write Markers—Poppy Parade for the bucket, Darling Duckling for the buttery popcorn, and Basic Black for the tiny legs and face. I love how playful and vibrant it turned out!

I layered the image on Basic Black cardstock and added a strip of Poppy Parade cardstock and a piece of red and white Baker’s Twine to finish it off. A few yellow enamel dots sprinkled in the background pull the whole thing together.

When stamping a tone-on-tone background, rotate your stamp slightly each time you press it down. This gives your pattern a more natural, random feel – and helps the repeated images feel playful, not too perfect!
