Simply the Best Floral Card with the Lovely + Beautiful Suite

This one feels a little bold and a little elegant all at the same time. I love pairing a deep color like Secret Sea with a soft floral — it creates such a beautiful contrast. If you enjoy rich backgrounds with layered details, this card is a fun one to try.

This card features the Lovely + Beautiful suite, which includes the Simply Beautiful and Beautifully Created bundles. I started with a Secret Sea card base and added another Secret Sea layer on top. To give it some interest without adding extra paper, I stamped leaves in two corners using Secret Sea ink for a tone-on-tone look. It adds depth but keeps everything coordinated.

The Petal Pink Designer Series Paper strip across the center is from the Lovely + Beautiful DSP pack. It softens the darker background and helps anchor the focal point.

The large flower is die cut from Calypso Coral cardstock, with the center detail in Petal Pink. That combination really stands out against the deep blue background. I tucked in vellum die cut leaves and sprigs behind the flower for a soft, airy layer that doesn’t compete with the bold bloom.

The sentiment is stamped in Secret Sea ink on Basic White cardstock, fussy cut, and adhered across the flower. I finished the card with Sparkle Dot Essentials embellishments for just a touch of shine.

When working with a dark card base, try adding a tone-on-tone stamped image in the corners. It gives the background interest without taking attention away from your focal point.
