Happy Monday! I hope you all had a lovely Christmas weekend. Today, I’m sharing a card made at my last team meeting, using the Dino Days stamp set. We played “Craft Roulette” and the card I’m sharing today is the outcome of that!
You may be thinking, what is Craft Roulette? Basically, my upline came up with six items in four different categories and she rolled a dice to decide what our parameters would be. Then, all of our team members created a card around those parameters while we chatted. Our four categories are (1) Color, (2) Technique, (3) Stamps, and (4) Etc. Each of the categories had six options which corresponded with the rolling of the dice.
For this particular card, the dice rolls chose Monochromatic (color), Faux Suede (technique), Non-Floral (stamps), and Be Creative with Shapes (etc). The Faux Suede technique involves running a bone folder across your cardstock enough times to loosen the layers. Once the layers start to separate, you can peel the cardstock and it feels like faux suede! This can be seen in the scalloped hearts on this card.
I chose Mango Melody as my color, but could’ve chosen a wide spectrum of colors. I also heat embossed the sentiment using White Emboss Powder (I love how it pops!). To get the blobs, I used the backside of one of the stamps in the Dino Days stamp set… have you ever tried that? It can be so fun! Pearls finished off this card. Measurements can be found below.
