Hey crafty friends! 🦖 Get ready to “roar” with excitement over this fun, dinosaur-themed box I created using the Everyday Arches dies! This little box is the perfect way to brighten someone’s day, and it’s so much fun to make. Whether it’s a gift for a little one or a cute treat holder for any dinosaur lover, it’s sure to bring a smile to their face. This fun dinosaur box features the Everyday Arches dies, which I used to create the unique arch shape for the base of the box. The box is made from Granny Apple Green cardstock, which I cut and assembled into a fun, little dinosaur shape. The teeth are made from white cardstock, giving the box a quirky and adorable dino look!
Inside, I added a playful sentiment from the Darling Dinos stamp set. To make it extra special, I heat embossed the sentiment in white, which pops beautifully against the Basic Black cardstock. I also created a fun tongue element using Poppy Parade cardstock to add more character to the box.
When creating 3D projects like this, it’s helpful to use sturdy cardstock for the structure. That way, your box holds up and maintains its shape. I recommend using a strong adhesive, like Tear & Tape, to ensure your box stays together nicely.
MEASUREMENTS FOR THIS CARD:
Granny Apple Green Cardstock:
- 4-1/4″ x 9-1/8″ scored at 4-1/4″ and 4-7/8″ (then die cut with the 4th largest arch die — see video)
- 1-1/8″ x 10″ scored on the short side at 1/2″
Basic White Cardstock:
- 1-1/8″ x 10″ scored on the short side at 1/2″
- Smallest Circle die cut from Stylish Shapes Dies (qty 2)
Basic Black Cardstock:
- 5th Largest Arch Die (qty 2)
- Circles Punched from 3/8″ Circle Punch (affiliate Amazon link)
Poppy Parade Cardstock:
- 3rd Smallest Arch Die
