Team Swap Cards with Caring Leaves Stamp Set from Stampin’ Up!

CRAFT & CHAT – EPISODE 2

Every month, our Inkredible Crafters team does a card swap! Anyone in the team who wants to participate that month signs up by the 10th, and then you make a card for everyone signed up, and pop them in the mail by the end of the month. It’s so much fun!

For our September 2024 swap, we focused on the new Mini Catalog. I CASEd this card from my friend Jaimie Babarczy for my swap using the Caring Leaves stamp set (one of my FAVORITES!) I love that I didn’t have to fussy cut the leaves, because that’s not my strong suit, haha!

Never heard of CASEing before? It stands for Copy And Selectively Edit. So, while I was inspired by Jaimie’s card, I didn’t copy hers exactly. CASEing is such a great way to feel inspired by a stamp set!

This fun fold is really easy to do. It’s a modified gatefold, as the right panel is much smaller than the left (with a traditional gatefold, the panels are equal size).

The card base is cut at 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ and scored at 1″ and 5-1/4″. I then just matted down as I like (I prefer 1/8″ layers over 1/4″, but you can switch it up for your preferences).

Here’s a look at our team member’s swap cards:
