Halloween crafting is so much fun, especially when you get to mix textures and fun patterned paper! This card has a playful trick-or-treat vibe with bold embossed details and the perfect mix of seasonal colors.

The card base is Basic Black, with an added layer embossed using the Dotted Circles 3D Embossing Folder. That texture makes the background pop without overpowering the design.
For the focal point, I layered the Spooky Sweet DSP onto Pumpkin Pie cardstock and cut it into a banner shape. The sentiment, “Trick or Treat,” sits on a circle die cut with a friendly little spider for extra Halloween charm. A couple of enamel dots finish the design with a subtle touch of detail.

Banner-cut layers are an easy way to show off your favorite patterned paper. To get crisp, even points, measure and make a small pencil mark in the center of your paper, then cut diagonally from each bottom corner to that mark. Perfect banners every time!
