Hello, crafty friends! 📚 Today I’m sharing a fun card using the For The Books bundle, perfect for all the book lovers in your life! This card features a clean and simple design with a bit of texture, thanks to the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. If you haven’t seen this folder yet, it’s available for demonstrators now and will be available to customers starting in March 2025. It adds the perfect touch of texture, making this card stand out without overwhelming the design. Let’s dive in!
For this card, I used the For The Books bundle, which includes a cute stack of books and the playful sentiment “this one’s for the books.” I stamped and colored the books with Stampin’ Blends to bring them to life, then added them to the card using dimensionals for a bit of pop.
The background is embossed using the Mini Corrugated 3D Embossing Folder. The subtle texture it adds gives the card a nice tactile element. To keep the focus on the books, I added a strip of dark wood-grain patterned paper from the Country Woods DSP.
I finished the card by adding two small embellishments from the Transparent Dots for a bit of shine.
When using textured embossing folders like the Mini Corrugated 3D, try to keep the rest of your design simple. The texture itself becomes a focal point, so balance it with clean lines and minimal layers for a harmonious card.
