Hello and happy Tuesday, everyone! Today I’m excited to be sharing one of my favorite die-cutting techniques in this similarly-themed blog hop! Once you see my technique, be sure to hop along and see other techniques too.
My favorite die cutting technique (at least currently!) is to use my dies to emboss, instead of cutting. Some dies are great for creating backgrounds and I love to use them as such. My final card today was also designed for this week’s Heart Themed Challenge over at The Paper Players (PP527).
Can you see how I used the cute heart border from the Lots of Heart bundle to add a nice embossed border on the bottom of my white cardstock? I absolutely love using this technique to add texture to my card! I used other dies from this bundle to cut some hearts, and I also cut out two black triangles from the Stitched Triangles die set.

MEASUREMENTS
Petal Pink Cardstock
- 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored in half on the long side at 4-1/4″
- Scraps to die cut hearts
- 5-1/8″ x 3-7/8″
- 3″ x 3/8″
- Scrap to die cut heart
- 5″ x 3-3/4″
