Boardwalk Fun Ferris Wheel Card with Beachy Layers

This card just makes me smile! There’s something about a ferris wheel that instantly feels happy and relaxed, and this one totally gives off summer boardwalk energy. I had a lot of fun layering textures and details on this card while still keeping it clean and simple enough to recreate!

This card features the Boardwalk Fun bundle, and Coastal Cabana felt like the perfect starting point for that breezy, beach-inspired feel. I stamped palm trees in coordinating ink directly onto the card base to create a soft background, then added a little something extra by heat embossing the star image with clear embossing powder. It’s subtle, but it catches the light just enough to make the background feel special.

The layered panel is from the Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper, which adds great contrast behind the ferris wheel. The ferris wheel itself is die cut from Secret Sea cardstock, and I added the individual cars back on top for extra dimension. The sentiment is stamped in Secret Sea ink on a Pool Party banner die cut from the Stylish Shapes dies, tying everything together nicely. I finished it off with the Secret Sea Bordered Open Weave Ribbon and a few Rainbow Dots for just the right amount of sparkle.

If a large die cut ever feels a little flat, try cutting the detailed pieces twice and layering them together. Even subtle dimension can make a big impact without adding bulk.
