Boardwalk Fun Roller Coaster Card with Soft Waves Texture

This card has such a peaceful, almost beach-at-dusk feel to it, and I love how different it looks from the brighter, playful boardwalk styles you might expect. It’s still fun and summery, but with a softer, moodier twist that makes it feel really polished.

This card features the Boardwalk Fun bundle and starts with a Secret Sea card base, which instantly grounds the whole design. I added an embossed layer using the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder, and that texture is subtle but so good — it adds movement that reminds me of a rollercoaster!

The main panel is Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper, and I heat embossed the roller coaster along the bottom using white embossing powder. That crisp white detail really pops against the softer background tones. The roller coaster cars are die cut from Pretty in Pink cardstock, which adds just the right amount of fun to the card!

The sentiment is heat embossed on Secret Sea cardstock and die cut using the ticket-shaped label from the bundle, which fits the theme perfectly. I finished things off with a few Moody Palette Dots for a simple, clean embellishment that doesn’t distract from the scene.

When working with darker cardstock like Secret Sea, heat embossing is a great option! White embossing gives you bold contrast and keeps sentiments and images super crisp and readable.
