CRAFT & CHAT – EPISODE 8
Isn’t it fun to create personalized birthday cards that highlight special memories? For my nephew’s 7th birthday, I wanted to make something truly unique that celebrated him and all his energy. This photo pop-up card is perfect for capturing moments of his adventures and many sports he’s played over the past year. The bright colors, fun layout, and personal photos make it a keepsake he’ll treasure forever!

For this special birthday card, I used a photo pop-up design that’s both interactive and sentimental. The card features several action shots of my nephew, from playing soccer to hitting the baseball, along with a picture of us together playing tennis. The black and yellow color scheme, combined with the clean lines of the layout, really make the photos stand out (plus, yellow is his favorite color!). On the inside, I left space for a heartfelt note to make it extra personal.
This style of card is a fantastic way to incorporate photographs into your handmade cards, turning a simple birthday card into something memorable. The addition of a pop-up element adds an interactive touch that will surely surprise and delight the recipient.

If you want to make a photo pop-up card, use a sturdy cardstock for the base and make sure to trim your photos to fit the panels. You can also add a border or frame around each photo to make them stand out more. Don’t forget to leave enough room for a birthday message!
When folded up, the card is 6″ x 6″ so I created a custom envelope to fit it! I found this fun card from Amanda Fowler.
