Happy Saturday! Last week, I was introduced to a fun crafting game show called Craft Roulette. The host, Mary Gunn, spins a wheel and she and a guest crafter make a card using the parameters selected – live on video. All of us home viewers are encouraged to play along and make cards, too!
Here’s my card for Challenge #57:
- PROJECT: Pick-a-Sketch (the cohost, Jessica Taylor, picked a nice sketch for us!)
- COLORS: Pastels
- ELEMENTS: Rainbows
- RANDOM: Stencil
You could have a lot of fun with these parameters to make a beautiful card! To make my card, I used Basic White and Balmy Blue cardstock for the base and layers. I then die cut a Poppy Parade die from Stitched So Sweetly die set and sponged the Poppy Parade with white ink to dull down the color. With the Layering Circle Dies, I cut out circles in Pale Papaya, So Saffron, Soft Sea Foam, and Fresh Freesia cardstocks. The clouds stencil is from the March 2021 Paper Pumpkin kit. Then, I heat embossed “Miss You” on Basic Black cardstock. Below is a list of all the products I used that are currently available (two cardstock colors are live on May 4).
Here’s my card for Challenge #58:
- PROJECT: Fancy Fold (anything that doesn’t open like a typical card)
- COLORS: Green + 3 (neutrals don’t count unless you want them to)
- ELEMENT(S): Outdoors
- RANDOM: Swink (swiping ink)
Submissions for Challenge #58 are still being accepted through the end of the day on Sunday, April 25 at 11:59p Central time. Click here to watch the Challenge 58 YouTube video and play along!
For this card, I did a fun fold, and did the “swinking” with a Cajun Craze ink spot (but you can get a similar effect with the full size stamp pad). I CASEd the design directly from page 58 of the Jan-Jun 2021 Mini Catalog. Below, you can see the list of products needed to recreate this card!
Craft Roulette sounds so fun! Your card is adorable.
