This card features the adorable seagull from the Friendly Seagulls stamp set, paired with the “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Day to Celebrate stamp set. The card itself is a fun fold design. I used the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder to create texture on the background, and used a pattern from the Bloom Impressions DSP, mimicking the ocean waves.
The seagull, stamped and colored with soft blues and yellows, is perched on the sand with a couple of seashells—a perfect touch for this coastal-inspired birthday card. The “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Day to Celebrate set pops against the blue and white background, while the bright yellow enamel dot adds just the right finishing touch. The card is completed with some additional blue accents to bring the coastal theme to life.
When creating a fun fold card, make sure to choose a design that allows your main image to stand out while also incorporating fun details like textures and interactive elements. For this card, the ombre background provides depth, while the clean layout keeps the focus on the playful seagull and the bold sentiment. If you want to add extra texture, try embossing areas of the card and combining them with simple stamped images for a balanced look.
