Flower Card using Stampin’ Up! Merry & Bright Bundle

Do you like to stretch yourself and think outside the box? Maybe sometimes an idea just strikes you one day (while you’re scrolling Instagram? 😉 ) and you have to put that thought into action! That’s exactly what I did for today’s flower card using the Christmas bundle – Merry & Bright – from Stampin’ Up!

As I mentioned above, I was scrolling instagram a few weeks ago and came across a card made by Amanda Mertz. It instantly made me think of the possibility to make a flower using the light bulbs from this most adorable Christmas set!!

I have a YouTube video showing how to make the card on the left, which is linked here and further down on this blog post.

I originally tried out the card by stamping different colored petals (because you can do whatever you want when you stamp a card… including having different colored petals!). Then, for the YouTube video, I decided to keep the same color palette on the card, but die cut the petals in all the same color instead.

I love how it turned out!

CREATE IN COLOR CHALLENGE:

Today’s card is part of this week’s Create in Color Challenge!

Here’s the color combo for this week! If you’d like to participate in this week’s challenge, make a project using some (or all!) of the colors listed above (or similar hue if you don’t have the exact color), and share it in my Facebook Group with #CreateinColorChallenge. I’m so excited to see what you create!
