Game Day Card with the Match Day Bundle from the A Wonderful Match Suite

This soccer aunt is OBSESSED with this new set! 🖤⚽ When I saw the brand new Match Day bundle in the March Online Exclusives, I immediately knew it was coming to live in my craft room. If you’ve got a soccer player, grandkid, neighbor, or favorite little MVP in your life, this one is going to make you smile!

This card uses the brand new Match Day bundle from the A Wonderful Match suite, and I built it on a Basic Black card base for that bold, sporty look. I added an extra Basic Black layer embossed with the Soft Waves 3D Embossing Folder to give it some subtle texture without taking away from the focal point. It adds just enough interest while still keeping that strong game-day feel.

The patterned paper is from the A Wonderful Match Designer Series Paper pack, layered onto a Basic White mat to help it pop. I die cut the goal post from Smoky Slate cardstock and layered it behind the main images for depth. The jersey is stamped in Tuxedo Black ink onto Timid Tiger cardstock and shaded with Timid Tiger Blends for dimension. Simply change out the jersey color to match your team!

The soccer ball is stamped in Tuxedo Black on Basic White and shaded with Smoky Slate Blends. I heat embossed the sentiment in white embossing powder on a banner from the Stylish Shapes dies, and finished it off with the Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers. Such a fun detail!

When working with bold colors like Basic Black and Timid Tiger, add a thin Basic White mat behind your Designer Series Paper. It helps separate the layers and keeps everything crisp and defined.
