No One’s Butter Than You! A Playful Popcorn Card with the Poppin’ By

Today’s card is all about fun, puns, and popcorn. I had so much fun playing with the Poppin’ By bundle again, and this time I paired it with a bright and happy Designer Series Paper from Turtle-y Cute and a buttery ink blend that will make you smile. If you’re ready to craft a card that’s as sweet as movie night candy, keep reading!

This cheerful card starts with a Poppy Parade card base that really makes the yellow pop. The background layer is a fun musical note pattern from the Turtle-y Cute DSP pack—it adds an unexpected but super playful vibe, don’t you think?

The popcorn is the real star here! I die cut the kernels using the dies from the Poppin’ By bundle and ink blended Darling Duckling ink on top using a blending brush. It gives them that perfect buttery glow! One even got a pair of glasses for a little personality—because why not?

I added two film strips across the bottom using Basic Black cardstock to tie in that movie night theme. The sentiment, “No one’s butter than you,” is stamped in Memento Black on a stitched circle and popped up right in the center.

To finish it off, I added a few enamel dots in matching tones for that final touch of texture and shine.

When ink blending, start off the edge of your paper first so you don’t get harsh lines—and don’t be afraid to vary the pressure for a more natural look!
