Hello and Happy Sunday! Today I’m super excited to be participating in the Share it Sunday blog hop! The card I designed for this blog hop also corresponds with a challenge I have for you… My team has played “Craft Roulette” by rolling dice to determine certain card making parameters, and it is now my week! The challenge is to use Secondary Colors (orange, green, purple), use a Direct to Paper technique (ex: sponging), make it Masculine, and to use Ribbon. The challenge is posted in my Facebook group, so come along and participate by posting your own card following these parameters!
I love how this card turned out! I did the Emboss Resist technique to get the ties to show up in the background. This means that I used heat embossing with White Emboss Powder on a piece of Basic White cardstock. I then took a Blending Brush and blended on some Pumpkin Pie ink.
For the ties, I used Heat Embossing on Pear Pizzazz and Blackberry Bliss cardstock and then die cut the different ties and bow ties out. I love to heat emboss and think it really helps these ties to POP! I also used some of the Linen Thread as my “ribbon” parameter – I love this thread! To finish it off, I used the 2″ Circle Punch to punch out the sentiment which is stamped in Blackberry Bliss ink.
