Soccer Goal Card with the Match Day Bundle and A Wonderful Match Suite

You already know this soccer aunt cannot resist a good sports-themed bundle. ⚽ This Match Day bundle just keeps giving, and I love how easy it is to switch up the layout and still get a totally different look!

This card starts with a Basic Black card base layered with a piece of the A Wonderful Match Designer Series Paper. I wanted to soften that bold pattern just a bit, so I added a layer of vellum over the top. It tones everything down without hiding the fun net design underneath — such an easy trick when your background feels a little busy.

From there, I layered in all the die cut pieces. The net is cut from Basic White cardstock, with Granny Apple Green grass tucked underneath. The cones are die cut from Timid Tiger, and the soccer ball is layered in Basic White and Basic Black. The little flag is stamped in Tuxedo Black Memento ink on Basic White and colored with Daffodil Delight and Smoky Slate Blends for a pop of detail. The sentiment is stamped in Tuxedo Black onto Basic White and popped up over the grass. I finished everything off with the Wonderful Stars Puffy Stickers from the suite for just a little extra fun.

If your Designer Series Paper feels too bold, try adding a layer of vellum before you start building your focal point. It softens the pattern while still letting it show through — and it makes your layered pieces stand out beautifully.
