The holidays are all about giving, and this card takes gift-giving to a whole new level! This adorable pop-up box card features a cute reindeer and is perfect for holding a gift card. This card is not just cute—it’s functional, too! When you open it, a gift card pops out of the box, making it a delightful way to present a little extra holiday cheer. The Reindeer Fun bundle is front and center, with a cute reindeer nestled in a wreath, adding a playful, festive touch. The sentiment “May all your days be full of cheer” is perfectly paired with this whimsical design, bringing warmth and joy to the holiday season.
The card’s green textured base, with its embossed grid pattern, provides a lovely contrast to the vibrant, patterned paper that surrounds the reindeer. The box design inside is adorned with festive wrapping paper prints, making the entire card a beautiful and functional piece of holiday decor. This interactive card doubles as a gift presentation, making it a unique and thoughtful way to give a little something extra.
Pop-up box cards are a fun way to add dimension and surprise to your greeting cards! When creating your own, make sure the box is securely folded so it can easily pop open when the recipient opens the card. And don’t forget to add a little cardstock strip inside to hold that gift card in place!
(p.s. I had two “happy accidents” with this card — first, using the postage dies when the recipient is my mail lady and second, I forgot that we got her a reindeer gift card! Choosing the Reindeer Fun bundle was a total coincidence).
I received a similar card as a swap card when I was in Utah in August (I believe Melanie Foy was the designer) and then found the measurements online to recreate it. Those measurements came from Chris Slogar. Thanks Melanie and Chris!
MEASUREMENTS FOR THE CARD BASE & POP UP BOX (see video linked below and/or diagram for clarity):
Garden Green Cardstock:
- 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored in half at 4-1/4″
- 3/4″ x 5-1/2″ scored at 1/2″, 2-3/4″ and 5″ — this is the gift card holder piece
Reindeer Days DSP:
- 7-1/2″ x 4-1/4″ scored:
- On the long side: 1/2″, 2-1/4″, 4″ and 5-3/4″
- On the short side: 1-3/4″ and 3-1/2″
