Stampin’ Up! A Cut Above Masculine Card

I recently participated in a card swap, and one of the stamp sets I chose to use was the NEW “A Cut Above” stamp set on page 69 of the January – June 2021 Mini Catalog. This set reminds me of my dad – especially the image of the man cutting the grass! Today, I’m going to share the swap card I made using this set.

Isn’t it cute?! I wanted to highlight the sunshine-y feel of a typical grass mowing session (right?!), which is why I thought a yellow card base was the best. I did some tone-on-tone stamping as the cardstock and ink color for the sun are both Bumblebee. I also used Stampin’ Blends to color! The Blends colors I used are: Dark Petal Pink, Light & Dark Real Red, Dark Smoky Slate, Light Daffodil Delight, Dark Night of Navy, and Dark Granny Apple Green.
