‘Tis the Season for Baking: A Festive Christmas Card with Homemade Treats

If you love the smell of cookies in the oven and Christmas tunes playing in the background, this card will speak to your heart! Using the Homemade Treats bundle, I created a card that perfectly captures the cozy spirit of holiday baking. It’s warm, playful, and full of those classic Christmas colors we all adore!

This card features a Real Red base with a layer embossed with a holly pattern for that perfect festive texture. The patterned paper comes from the Christmas Tags & More DSP — I love how the plaid design adds a cheerful, homey feel.

I stamped the sentiment, ‘Tis the Season for Baking, on a Crumb Cake banner cut from the Nested Essentials dies, then layered it beside a green oven mitt filled with candy canes and a little gingerbread man. A few green embellishments and a linen bow tie it all together for that sweet, homemade charm.

When layering different patterns, use a neutral tone like Crumb Cake or Basic White to give the eye a place to rest — it helps balance busy designs like plaid or gingham!
