VIDEO: Soft Pastels and the Sunny Sentiments Stamp Set

Happy Thursday! I recently played with the Soft Pastels for the very first time and decided to make a quick video tutorial showing you how to work with them too! I used the Sunny Sentiments stamp set to finish off the card.

Didn’t it turn out so cute?! This card is for a friend of mine who is celebrating their birthday soon. The reds, oranges, and yellows definitely scream “summer,” don’t you think? Below you can view the video tutorial on how I made this card:

I used So Saffron as the card base (probably my favorite yellow!) and used the Poppy Parade, Mango Melody, and Daffodil Delight Pastels. For the sentiment, I heat embossed with White Embossing Powder on a piece of Poppy Parade. I set the Pastels with some hairspray. And of course, I added in some Matte Black Dots (because they’re awesome)!!

MEASUREMENTS

So Saffron Cardstock
  • 8-1/2″ x 5-1/2″ scored in half at 4-1/4″
Basic White Cardstock
  • Two (2) pieces at 5-1/4″ x 4″ (one goes inside the card)
Poppy Parade Cardstock
  • 2″ x 2″
Thanks for stopping by my blog today! I hope you enjoyed this video tutorial. Tell me – have you used pastels before? This is my first time experimenting with them! Below, you can view the full list of supplies needed to recreate this card.
