Hello, crafty friends! 🎉 I am excited to share this bright and cheerful fun fold card featuring the Patterns of Friendship bundle from Stampin’ Up! and the gorgeous Wildflower Birthday Designer Series Paper (DSP). This card is perfect for birthdays or any celebration where you want to send a fun, colorful greeting!
This card uses a simple and easy fun fold technique that adds a bit of flair without being complicated. The focal point is a punched-out balloon piece from the Wildflower Birthday DSP, paired with a “Happy Birthday” sentiment from the Patterns of Friendship stamp set. The balloons bring a pop of color with their soft pastel shades, and the background DSP adds texture and interest.
I love the combination of the papers in this card – the soft blue grid texture on one side of the card (using the giant background die in the bundle!) and the cheerful orange floral pattern on the other. To finish off the card, I added a bit of white ribbon and a few gems to give it a touch of elegance and sparkle.
When using patterned paper like the Wildflower Birthday DSP, consider breaking up large patterns with smaller elements, like punched images or sentiment strips. This helps maintain balance and ensures that no part of the card feels too overwhelming. It’s all about letting the patterns complement each other without competing for attention.
