I always love that little window of time right before a new catalog goes live… it feels like being in on a fun secret! This card is giving us a sneak peek at some of the gorgeous new goodies coming your way TOMORROW(!!!), and I couldn’t resist playing with these fresh colors and patterns a little early.
This card features the brand new Phrases + Frames bundle, and I kept the layout simple so those pretty details could really shine. The card base is Peaceful Pine, which is such a rich, calming green. I layered on two patterns from the Bloom Boutique Designer Series Paper — one with a soft scallop pattern and one with a delicate floral. The combination feels fresh and classic at the same time, which I love for an anniversary card.
The sentiment is stamped in Peaceful Pine ink onto a die cut Basic White frame from the bundle. That frame has a subtle impression added with the new impressions plate, which gives it just enough texture to make it stand out without overwhelming the design. I added a soft Barely Blush ribbon across the front for a little warmth and finished it off with the 2026–2028 In Color Butterfly embellishments. It’s simple, pretty, and just feels like spring!
When you’re working with patterned paper, try pairing a busier print (like florals) with a simpler pattern (like the scallop). It helps keep your card balanced and lets each pattern shine without competing.
