Go Nuts for Birthdays with the Fluffy Squirrel Bundle

Today’s card is another fun sneak peek at the upcoming Fluffy Squirrel bundle, which debuts September 3. This time, I created a playful birthday card that’s perfect for any age — because honestly, who wouldn’t smile at a squirrel holding a tiny present?

The squirrel image from the Fluffy Squirrel bundle takes center stage, colored in warm tones and perched on a tree stump. I stamped directly onto a Basic White die-cut label from the upcoming Branching Out dies. For the background, I added in a pattern from the Autumn Toile Designer Series Paper, which adds a nice contrast to the soft embossed panel.

A few finishing touches pull the design together: Old Olive Linen Thread tied in a double bow, plus the new Cajun Craze + Gold dots for just a bit of sparkle. The sentiment “Go Nuts! It’s Your Birthday” couldn’t be more fitting and makes this card a cheerful way to celebrate.

When using bold sentiments like this one, embossing them in white on dark cardstock really helps them stand out. It creates a crisp, polished look that instantly draws the eye.
