ALL ABOUT USING REINKERS FOR FUN!
A while ago, I shared all about Stampin’ Up!’s awesome line of ink pads and ink refills. You can find that post here. Today I am going to share about FUN ways to use your Ink Refills!
You can use your Ink Refills in many different ways to create fun cards, but my favorite way is to do the Baby Wipe Technique! I filmed a YouTube video making the card shown above (you can find it here), but I also explain below how to do the Baby Wipe Technique.
HOW TO DO THE BABY WIPE TECHNIQUE:
Using your Ink Refills and a Baby Wipe, you can create some fun stamped images! In the image above, you can see that the insides of the flowers and leaves are not “solid.” As in, I didn’t stamp them perfectly with the coordinating stamp, nor did I color them in. Instead, I used the filler stamp with the Baby Wipe Technique! So how do you do this technique?
First, stamp the outline of the image. Then, grab your Ink Refills in whichever colors you want to use and drop them onto a Baby Wipe. The drops will spread, and you’ll be able to ink up your stamp by dipping it directly onto the Baby Wipe. Because the drops are sporadically placed and you can move your stamp around, each time you stamp down your image will be different!
For the card shared on this blog post, I used the following Ink Refill colors:
- Large Flower (Night of Navy outline): Azure Afternoon, Coastal Cabana, Misty Moonlight
- Small Flower (Berry Burst outline): Fresh Freesia, Highland Heather, Berry Burst
- Leaves (Garden Green outline): Lemon Lime Twist, Granny Apple Green, Garden Green
