Ouch Bundle Get Well Card with Sweet Bandage Details

There’s something so sweet about a handmade get well card. Whether it’s for a friend recovering from surgery, a child with a scraped knee, or someone who just needs a little encouragement, this card is sure to bring a smile!

The Ouch Bundle makes creating playful, heartfelt cards so easy. I love how the simple bandages and tiny flowers come together for a clean and cheerful design that’s full of personality.

For this card, I started with a Thick Basic White card base and layered another piece of Basic White on top. Before adding any of the die-cut pieces, I stamped “Ouch” repeatedly around the edges in Black ink and then used a black journaling pen to hand draw a simple frame. It’s an easy way to add a fun doodled look without adding extra layers.

The bandages are stamped in Barely Blush, Crisp Cantaloupe, and Strawberry Slush before being die cut with the coordinating dies. I tucked in a few coordinating flowers to add pops of color across the card. The sentiment is heat embossed with White Embossing Powder on a black banner die cut from the Stylish Shapes Dies, creating a bold focal point against the soft colors. A Black Baker’s Twine bow adds a little texture, and rhinestones in the flower centers provide just the right amount of sparkle.

Hand-drawn borders are a great way to add personality to clean and simple cards. Don’t worry about making your lines perfectly straight—the slightly imperfect look adds charm and makes the design feel more whimsical!
