Relax and Enjoy Summer Pool Card with the Splash + Relax Bundle

This week’s Splash + Relax Bundle projects have been bringing all the summer vibes, and this card might be one of my favorites! Between the colorful floaties, flip flops, and sunglasses, it feels like a perfect day spent lounging poolside.

The clean layout and bright colors make this card easy to recreate while still including lots of fun details.

This card starts with a Thick Basic White card base layered with a piece of Beach Boardwalk Designer Series Paper featuring a beautiful pool water pattern. The soft blue background instantly sets the scene and creates the perfect backdrop for the summer-themed images.

The focal point features two colorful floaties from the Splash + Relax Bundle. The yellow floatie is stamped in Daffodil Delight, while the pink floatie is stamped in Flirty Flamingo. To help them stand out from the background, I stamped coordinating shadows underneath using Pool Party ink, creating a fun layered effect and giving the illusion that they’re floating across the water.

The accessories really bring this card to life! The sunglasses are die cut from Basic Black cardstock and Lunar Lustre Specialty Paper, adding a touch of shine that mimics reflective lenses. The flip flops are die cut from Lost Lagoon and Pretty Peacock cardstock and tucked underneath the floaties for even more summer charm.

For the greeting, I stamped the sentiment in Pretty Peacock ink onto a Basic White banner die cut using the Stylish Shapes Dies. The banner fits perfectly among the layered elements without covering up too much of the fun background.

To finish the card, I added a few Shimmering Dots for subtle sparkle and extra dimension.

When creating scene-style cards, use shadows behind your focal images to add depth. A simple stamped shadow can make flat images appear layered and help them stand out against patterned backgrounds.
