Soft Florals and Window Details with the Exciting Times Bundle

This week I’m creating with the Exciting Times bundle from Stampin’ Up!, and I’ve really been enjoying how easy it is to create clean and pretty layouts with the coordinating punch. I love when a bundle gives you a simple focal point without needing a lot of extra layers, and this one definitely does that!

For this card, I kept things soft and elegant with Hydrangea Hue and subtle floral details from the Velvet Meadow DSP.

The card starts with a Thick Basic White card base. I added a small panel of Velvet Meadow Designer Series Paper directly onto the card front to peek through the punched window. The rounded rectangle punch from the Exciting Times bundle creates such a fun focal point, especially layered over patterned paper like this.

For the top layer, I punched the window from Hydrangea Hue cardstock, then stamped the coordinating frame border around the opening using Hydrangea Hue ink for a soft tone-on-tone look. Popping this layer up with Dimensionals gives the card extra depth and makes that little floral window stand out even more.

I added a loose White Baker’s Twine bow, then stamped the sentiment in Hydrangea Hue ink onto Basic White cardstock. After trimming it out, I popped it up with Dimensionals over the bow. To finish the card, I added a few 2026–2028 In Color Butterflies in Peaceful Pine for a subtle touch of sparkle and color.

When using punches to create windows on your cards, try layering patterned paper underneath for an easy focal point. It adds detail without needing extra stamping or coloring!
