Turtle-y Awesome Z Fold Card

Hello, crafty friends! Today I’m sharing this super fun Z-fold card featuring the soon-to-be-released Turtle-y Awesome bundle, which will be available to customers beginning May 6! If you love adorable, pun-filled cards, this set is for you! I’ve paired the bundle with the Turtle-y Cute DSP, the Turtle Textures embossing folder, and the new Shades of Green Hexagons embellishments for a birthday card that’s sure to make anyone smile.

This Z-fold card has so many fun details that I can’t wait to share with you! First, the Turtle-y Awesome stamp set features the most adorable turtles and the perfect punny birthday sentiment—“Hope your birthday is turtle-y awesome!” I stamped and colored the turtles with bright, cheerful colors, making them pop against the soft, earthy background.

I also used the Turtle-y Cute DSP to create the fun patterned background. The bright green swirl pattern adds a playful touch, and it pairs perfectly with the Shades of Green Hexagons embellishments for some extra sparkle. For added texture, I used the Turtle Textures embossing folder on the side panels of the card, which mimics the look of turtle shells and brings the whole design together.

The Z-fold structure of the card gives it a fun twist! It folds in a way that allows the recipient to open it up to reveal the full message and design.

When creating a Z-fold card, make sure to keep your design elements on the front of the card compact so that when it opens, the inside layers can shine! For this card, I kept the turtle and background on the front portion and left the inside free for the sentiment. This ensures the card folds nicely and stays balanced.

MEASUREMENTS FOR THIS CARD:

Shaded Spruce Cardstock:

• 4-1/4″ x 11″ scored on the long side at 5-1/2″, 6-3/4″ and 8-7/8″
• 3-1/4″ x 4-1/4″

Basic White Cardstock:

• 4″ x 4″ (inside)
• Scraps for stamping

Granny Apple Green Cardstock:

• 2-1/4″ x 4″ embossed, then cut at 1″ for both side panels

Turtle-y Cute DSP:

• 3″ x 4″

Crumb Cake Cardstock:

• 2-3/8″ Circle Punched
