Bold Blues & Florals with the Bloom Boutique Suite

Today’s card is all about the blues — and I am absolutely here for it 💙 Sometimes it’s fun to switch from soft pastels to deeper, moodier colors, and this combination of Secret Sea and Hydrangea Hue feels elegant while still keeping those pretty floral details front and center.

This card starts with a Secret Sea card base layered with another piece of Secret Sea cardstock embossed using the Forever Plaid 3D Embossing Folder. The subtle texture from the embossing adds so much richness to the background and gives the card a cozy, layered look without needing lots of extra pieces.

Across the center, I added a strip of patterned paper from the Paper Medley Mix Ins DSP pack. I love how it softens the darker background just enough while still letting the florals stand out. The flowers are stamped in Hydrangea Hue ink onto Hydrangea Hue cardstock for a beautiful monochromatic look, then popped up with Dimensionals for extra depth.

The leaves are die cut from Basic White cardstock which keeps everything feeling crisp and clean against the darker background. The sentiment is stamped in Secret Sea onto Basic White cardstock and trimmed out for a simple finishing touch. I added a few Crisp Cantaloupe In Color Butterflies to tie everything together with a tiny pop of warmth.

Monochromatic stamping is a great way to create elegant focal points without overwhelming the card. Try stamping images in the same ink and cardstock color, then add contrast with neutral accents like white die cuts or labels.
