Sunset Coast Anniversary Card with the New Scenic Coast Suite

This week I’m featuring the beautiful new Sunset Coast bundle from the Scenic Coast suite, and I am already obsessed with all the peaceful coastal scenes you can create with it! There’s just something about lighthouses, sailboats, and ocean views that feels timeless. This card ended up with a soft sunset look paired with bold Night of Navy details, and I love how elegant it feels for an anniversary card.

The layered die cuts on this one really make the scene pop while still keeping the overall design clean and simple!

This card starts with a Night of Navy card base with two layers of Basic White cardstock. On the smaller stamped layer, I created the coastal scene using blending and stamping techniques. The large rock formation is stamped in Pecan Pie ink using both full-strength and stamped-off images for softer depth. The sky is softly blended with Golden Glow ink, while the cloud is stamped in Night of Navy ink after stamping off twice for a subtle look.

The water is stamped and blended with Blueberry Bushel ink, and the tiny sailboats add just the right amount of detail in Night of Navy. For the top layer, I die cut the lighthouse scene directly from Basic White cardstock and popped it up with Dimensionals to create extra depth and shadowing around the circular opening.

To finish the card, I added a Pecan Pie fence die cut, heat embossed the sentiment in white onto Night of Navy cardstock, and scattered a few Natural Matte Dots around the card. The die cut birds across the top might be my favorite little detail — they really help bring the whole seaside scene to life!

When creating layered scene cards like this, try stamping your background images slightly softer by stamping off once or twice before stamping onto your project. It creates depth without overwhelming the focal die cuts layered on top.
