Christmas in July Craft Along Day 1: Cardinal Christmas Card + Card Box

Welcome to Day 1 of the Christmas in July Craft Along! There’s just something fun about making Christmas projects in the middle of summer. This week I’ll be sharing twelve festive projects featuring two beautiful bundles that work so well together. Whether you’re getting a head start on your holiday cards or simply love Christmas crafting, I hope these projects inspire you!

Today’s projects feature the Festive Cheer bundle and the Pretty Poinsettia bundle, along with the 2026–2028 In Color Gingham Gallery Designer Series Paper and the A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper. Throughout the week you’ll also see Moody Palette Glossy Dots, Mini Christmas Buttons, Real Red + White Stitched Ribbon, and Gold Striped Mesh Ribbon adding those perfect finishing touches.

The first project is a clean and elegant Christmas card featuring two sweet cardinals hanging from pine branches. The patterned paper adds just the right touch of holiday charm while the layered die cuts keep the focus on the ornaments. A few Moody Palette Glossy Dots add subtle shine without taking away from the simple design.

The second project is a greeting card holder box that’s perfect for gifting a set of handmade Christmas cards. The Pretty Poinsettia bundle creates a beautiful focal point with its layered poinsettia, while the A Stitched Season Designer Series Paper gives the box a classic holiday feel. Mini Christmas Buttons and the Real Red + White Stitched Ribbon add just the right amount of festive detail to finish it off.
