Elegant Leaves Bundle Stamped Fall Card

Here’s the last of my three cards featuring the Elegant Leaves Bundle! For this one, I let the stamped leaves do most of the work and created my own colorful fall background. I love the mix of Golden Glow, Old Olive and Cajun Craze against the darker Early Espresso card base — definitely fall, but still bright and cheerful!

I started with an Early Espresso card base and added another layer of Early Espresso cardstock embossed with the new Rustic Check 3D Embossing Folder. That texture is so good in the background and adds a cozy, almost plaid-like look to the card.

For the main panel, I stamped leaves from the Elegant Leaves Bundle onto Basic White cardstock using Golden Glow, Old Olive and Cajun Craze inks. These are two-step images, so I stamped the detailed image at full strength and then stamped the filler portion off for a lighter version of the color. It’s an easy way to get two shades of the same color without pulling out another ink pad!

I also added some splatter to the background by flicking color from the 100 Stampin’ Blend from the Deep Combo Pack. After the stamping was finished, I layered the Basic White cardstock onto Crumb Cake and adhered it to the card.

For the finishing details, I added a bow made with the new Jute Trim Combo Pack. The “hello” sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto a Crumb Cake circle cut with the Stylish Shapes dies, and a few new Glossy Garden Dots add just a little shine.

Stamping off is one of the easiest ways to get more mileage out of your ink pads! Stamp the filler image onto scrap paper once before stamping your cardstock, then use the same ink at full strength for the detailed image. You’ll get two coordinating shades without needing two different colors.
