Elegant Leaves Bundle Thank You Card with Layered Fall Leaves

I’m back with another card featuring the Elegant Leaves Bundle, and this one shows off so many fun pieces from the bundle! I CASEd this design from the Stampin’ Up! website because I loved the mix of stamped leaves, die cut details and that subtle background. It’s a great reminder that fall cards don’t have to stick to just the traditional oranges and browns!

I started with a Basic Beige card base and added another layer of Basic Beige on top. That woodgrain-looking background is actually created with a die from the Elegant Leaves Bundle! The die adds the timber texture without cutting the cardstock into separate pieces, giving you lots of detail while still keeping the background nice and simple.

For the focal point, I mixed stamped and die cut leaves. The larger leaves were stamped in Golden Glow ink, with Old Olive used for the smaller green leaves. I also die cut leaves from two tone Cajun Craze and two tone Pretty Peacock cardstock. I really like the Pretty Peacock mixed in with the more traditional fall colors — it adds an unexpected pop of color!

The simple “thank you” sentiment was stamped in Early Espresso ink onto Crumb Cake cardstock and layered right across the center of the leaves. A few Array of Dots embellishments in Pretty Peacock finish everything off.

Don’t feel like every element in a leaf arrangement needs to be stamped! Mixing stamped images with cardstock die cuts is an easy way to add more texture and dimension, especially when you’re using coordinating pieces from the same bundle.
