Oh My Fright Halloween Card with Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper

It’s time for a little Halloween crafting! This week I’m featuring the Oh My Fright bundle, and I’m starting with a card that is definitely more cute than creepy. I love those sweet little ghosts paired with the bold orange and Secret Sea color combination!

I started with a Secret Sea card base and added another layer of Secret Sea cardstock on top. Before adhering that layer, I stamped some of the bat and star images from the Oh My Fright bundle along the sides using Secret Sea ink. I love tone-on-tone stamping for adding a little extra detail without making the background too busy.

For a pop of Halloween color, I added a piece of Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper featuring those adorable ghosts and matted it onto Basic White cardstock. The orange in the DSP really stands out against all of that Secret Sea!

The focal point is a Secret Sea arch die cut using the Everyday Arches dies. I heat embossed the “Boo to You” sentiment in white embossing powder so it would really pop against the dark cardstock. The two ghosts were stamped in Secret Sea ink onto Basic White cardstock and added to the arch. A few Secret Sea Moody Palette Glossy Dots finish everything off.

Tone-on-tone stamping is such an easy way to make plain cardstock more interesting! Try stamping a few small images around the edges of a cardstock layer where they’ll peek out from behind your focal pieces. You get extra detail without competing with the main part of your card.
