Summer Happiness Bundle Card with Bright Summer Washi Tape

Sometimes the simplest cards end up being my favorites, and this one came together so quickly thanks to the beautiful Summer Happiness Washi Tape. The combination of cheerful summer images, soft texture, and bright colors makes this card perfect for sending a little encouragement to someone special!

This card features the Summer Happiness bundle along with a sentiment from the Sending Salutations stamp set. I started with a Coastal Cabana card base and added a coordinating layer embossed with the Lazy Daisy 3D Embossing Folder, which creates a fun textured background without taking attention away from the focal point.

For the centerpiece, I die cut a Basic White rectangle using the Perennial Postage Dies and stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea ink in the lower right corner. The real star of this card is the Summer Happiness Washi Tape! I applied the washi tape to a 3-1/2″ strip of Basic White cardstock, then used the coordinating dies to cut out several of the adorable summer images, including the camera, lemonade, flower, pineapple, and cherries. Layering the die cuts together creates a playful little collage that really pops against the clean white background. A few Array of Dots embellishments finish everything off with just the right color.

Washi tape becomes even more versatile when you apply it to Basic White cardstock before die cutting. It creates sturdy embellishments that are quick to assemble and lets you mix and match images for endless card designs.
