Summer Happiness Bundle Thank You Card with Bright Summer Strips

I love finding new ways to use patterned strips of cardstock, and this card is a great reminder that simple layouts can still make a big impact. The bright colors and fun summer icons make this cheerful thank you card perfect for letting someone know how much they’re appreciated!

This card features the Summer Happiness Bundle with a sentiment from the Sending Salutations Stamp Set. I started with a Lemon Lolly card base and layered two pieces of Basic White cardstock to create a crisp background for the colorful design.

The focal point is made with three angled strips of cardstock in Pool Party, Calypso Coral, and Daffodil Delight. Before adhering them, I stamped coordinating summer images tone-on-tone using matching ink colors for a subtle bit of extra detail. After trimming the layered panel, I adhered it to the larger Basic White layer and stamped the sentiment in Secret Sea ink just beneath the Daffodil Delight strip.

To finish the card, I stamped the flip flops in Calypso Coral, the sunshine in Daffodil Delight, and the sunglasses in Pool Party on Basic White cardstock. After die cutting each image, I popped them up with Dimensionals for added depth and finished everything with a few Pearls of Beauty embellishments.

Tone-on-tone stamping is an easy way to add interest without making your card feel busy. Simply stamp your images using the same color ink as your cardstock for subtle texture and a polished look.
