Sweet Thinking of You Card with the Ouch Bundle

I know the Ouch Bundle is meant for get well cards, but I couldn’t resist using those little bandages for a thinking of you card! Sometimes life leaves little bumps and bruises that don’t need a get well card—they just need someone to know they’re being thought of.

For this card, I kept everything soft and monochromatic with Crisp Cantaloupe. I started with a Crisp Cantaloupe card base and added another Crisp Cantaloupe layer. Then I stamped the sweet floral image over the entire panel using Crisp Cantaloupe ink. It’s a simple tone-on-tone background, but it adds just enough interest without taking away from the focal point.

The sentiment, from the Forever Florals stamp set, is stamped in black ink on a circle from the Spotlight on Nature Dies. I tucked two Crumb Cake bandages on the bottom of the circle, and finished the card with a few Iridescent Pearls for just a touch of sparkle.

Tone-on-tone stamping is one of my favorite ways to create a custom background. Using the same ink and cardstock color gives you lots of texture while keeping the card clean and elegant.
