Thanks + Giving Fall Card with Autumn Opulence DSP

I’m back with another card using the Thanks + Giving stamp set, and this one really lets the Designer Series Paper do a lot of the work! The rich colors in the Autumn Opulence DSP are perfect for fall, and I kept the rest of the card fairly simple so those pretty patterns could stand out.

I started with an Early Espresso card base and added a Basic Beige layer. On top, I used two different patterns from the Autumn Opulence Designer Series Paper with a narrow strip of Basic Beige between them. That little strip is such an easy addition, but I love how it gives each pattern its own space instead of having the two compete with each other.

For the focal point, I die cut a Basic Beige label using the Beautifully Celebrated dies and stamped the wheat image from the Thanks + Giving stamp set in Crumb Cake ink. The soft, neutral stamping works so well with the busier DSP in the background.

I added a faux bow using the Neutrals Jute Trim Combo Pack, then layered the sentiment right over the top. “Give Thanks” was stamped in Early Espresso ink on a Basic White Stylish Shapes die cut and popped up with Dimensionals. A few Gold Dots add just a little shine to finish everything off.

When you want to use two busy DSP patterns together, add a narrow strip of solid cardstock between them. It gives your eye a place to rest and helps each pattern stand out without adding too much extra work.
