Web of Fun Halloween Card with Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper

Halloween cards are just plain fun to make, especially when you can mix a few spooky products together! This week I’m creating with the Web of Fun Bundle, and for this card I pulled in some favorites from the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper and the Oh My Fright Dies. I CASEd this card from Amy Koenders and loved the way all of these Halloween elements worked together.

I started with a Basic Gray card base and added another layer of Basic Gray cardstock embossed with the Swirls of Magic Embossing Folder. I love using the same color for the card base and embossed layer because you get plenty of texture without adding another competing color.

For the center panel, I chose the ghost pattern from the Frightfully Fun Designer Series Paper and matted it with Basic Black cardstock. That pattern is such a cute backdrop for the large greeting! The “Halloween” was die cut from Smoky Slate cardstock using the Web of Fun Bundle, while “Happy” was die cut from Timid Tiger cardstock. That little pop of orange makes such a difference against all of the grays and black.

I added three Basic Black bats die cut with the Oh My Fright Dies. I really like mixing products from different bundles when they work this well together—it gives you even more ways to use the supplies you already have! A few Sunset Sparkle Sequins finish the card with another small pop of orange.

When you’re working with a mostly neutral color palette, choose one accent color and repeat it in just a couple of places. The Timid Tiger greeting and orange Sunset Sparkle Sequins add just enough color to this Halloween card without taking away from that fun black, gray and white look.
