Christmas Crew Snowman Card with a Wintery Scene

I have another Christmas Crew Bundle card to share, and this little snowman might have the right idea—will carol for cocoa! 😂 I love the winter scene that’s created around the snowman. This card was CASEd from Stacey Marsh.

The Secret Sea and Pool Party color combination gives this one a completely different look from the more traditional Christmas colors I’ve been using this week. Of course, I still managed to sneak in a little Cherry Cobbler!

Handmade Secret Sea Christmas card featuring a snowman holding a “Will Carol for Cocoa” sign with Pool Party trees, falling snow and a Cherry Cobbler cocoa mug.

I started with a Secret Sea card base and added a Basic White mat. To create the background, I used a pattern from the Winter Dreams Designer Series Paper across the top. For the snowy ground, I tore the edge of a piece from the Velveteen Assortment Paper. I love how that soft texture works for snow!

I die cut three trees from Pool Party cardstock and arranged them across the background to build the winter scene. The snowman from the Christmas Crew Bundle was stamped in black ink onto Basic White cardstock and colored with Pecan Pie, Deep Combo and Cherry Cobbler Stampin’ Blends, along with a little Pool Party shading. I popped him up with Stampin’ Dimensionals so he stands out from the background.

And we can’t have a sentiment that says “Will Carol for Cocoa” without giving him some cocoa! I die cut the mug from Cherry Cobbler cardstock and the cocoa from Pecan Pie cardstock and tucked it next to the snowman. That tiny mug just makes me smile!

I finished the card with Adhesive-Backed Snowflakes in Secret Sea. They add a little sparkle and texture near the bottom without taking away from the rest of the scene.

Tearing cardstock or specialty paper is one of the easiest ways to create a snowy edge—no special dies required! Tear toward yourself if you want more of the paper’s inner edge to show, and don’t worry about making it perfectly even. Snow certainly isn’t!
