Holly Jolly Branches Christmas Card with Shining Stars Dies

A little gingham, a couple of Christmas trees, and one big star! 🎄 Sometimes you don’t need a whole lot of supplies to make a Christmas card that really stands out!

Today’s card features the Holly Jolly Branches Bundle from Stampin’ Up!, along with the October 2026 Product of the Month, the Shining Stars Dies! I love how these two sets work together, and that big Kraft Paper star might just be my favorite part!

Handmade Christmas card featuring two Peaceful Pine stamped trees layered over a Kraft Paper star, green gingham patterned paper, a Cherry Cobbler sentiment, white die cut stars, and red and white baker's twine.

I started with a Peaceful Pine card base and added a coordinating gingham pattern from the 2026–2028 In Color Gingham Designer Series Paper pack. I love how the green gingham creates a classic Christmas look without being too busy!

Next, I used the Shining Stars Dies, the October 2026 Product of the Month, to die cut a large star from the new Kraft Paper. I stamped a few little star images onto the Kraft Paper using Early Espresso ink to give it some extra detail. The natural Kraft Paper color is such a fun contrast against all that green!

Using the Holly Jolly Branches Bundle, I stamped two Christmas trees in Peaceful Pine ink, die cut them, and adhered them over the star with Dimensionals. I love how the trees overlap and add a little depth to the design!

For the sentiment, I stamped “Wishing You a Festive Season” in Cherry Cobbler ink onto a Basic White label die cut with the Holly Jolly Branches Dies. A bow tied with Real Red + White Baker’s Twine adds another little pop of Christmas red.

To finish everything off, I added three smaller stars die cut from Basic White cardstock using the Shining Stars Dies, along with a few Iridescent Pearls for just a touch of sparkle!

Try mixing different textures and materials when creating your handmade cards! The Kraft Paper star adds a natural look that pairs beautifully with the gingham Designer Series Paper. And layering your stamped images with Dimensionals is an easy way to add depth without making your card complicated.
